How to Interpret Zendrop’s US Shipping Estimates

Understanding US shipping estimates on Zendrop.

You may have noticed that Zendrop currently shows an average shipping estimate of 8.5 business days for orders to the US. However, some orders are arriving closer to 10–15 business days. Here’s why this happens and what you can do to set the right expectations for your store.


Why the Estimate Shows 8.5 Days

The 8.5 business day estimate is an average that combines two different shipping routes:

  • US-to-US shipments (from our US warehouse) → very quick, usually 3–5 business days.

  • China-to-US shipments (from our China warehouse) → typically 10–15 business days, depending on customs, demand, and carrier performance.

Because these two routes are averaged together, the system displays 8.5 days, but the actual delivery time will depend on where the product is shipped from.


What This Means for You

  • If a product ships from the US warehouse, your customer can expect delivery in about 3–5 business days.

  • If a product ships from the China warehouse, it’s normal for delivery to take 10–15 business days.

  • During busy seasons (like holidays), deliveries from China may take a little longer due to customs and carrier delays.


How to Set Expectations with Customers

Check the “Ships From” location in your Zendrop account before listing products in your store.

  • For US-based items, highlight the faster shipping in your product descriptions.

  • For China-based items, communicate a realistic 10–15 business day delivery window.

Be proactive with communication. Let your customers know that the 8.5-day estimate is an average and that shipping times vary depending on the product’s origin.

Plan ahead for peak seasons. Remind your customers that shipping may take longer around major holidays or high-demand periods.
