If multiple products come from the same supplier at Zendrop and are ordered on the same day, our team will aim to ship them together. However, several conditions can cause our system to split shipments, each with its own tracking number. Below we explain when that happens, and why.
When Items Ship Together
Items are from the same supplier on Zendrop.
Products were added to the order and placed at the same time/day, going to the same shipping address.
Combined size and weight of all items fit within standard package limits.
If these conditions are met, we’ll consolidate your items into one package when possible, which means fewer parcels, a single tracking number, and (in many cases) lower shipping costs.
When Items May Ship Separately
Even with a single order, some shipments may be split. Here’s why that happens:
1. Order Timing & Warehouse Arrival
If items were added to the order at different times (e.g., you placed one product now and another a few hours later), they might not arrive at the warehouse together.
Our warehouse policy is to dispatch items as soon as they are ready; if one item arrives later, we may send the first immediately rather than hold the entire shipment, to get you your order faster. This is a common e-commerce practice to avoid unnecessary delays.
2. Different Suppliers
Only products from a single supplier on Zendrop can be bundled into one shipment.
If your order contains items from multiple suppliers, e.g., some from Zendrop Fulfillment, others from US-based suppliers, they will generally ship separately. Each supplier handles their own fulfillment logistics.
3. Weight, Size, or Packaging Limitations
Shipping carriers impose size and weight constraints. If the combined order is too large or heavy, we must split the items across multiple packages.
Bulk, bulky, or fragile items may be packed separately to ensure safe transit, even if they originate from the same supplier.
4. Warehouse Processing & Availability
If one product is ready for shipment but another is still being manufactured, quality-checked, or awaiting final processing, we may ship the ready item first. This helps reduce delivery time for available items, while the rest follows as soon as possible.
What This Means for Bundles
If you’re creating a bundle of several products:
To maximize the chance of a unified shipment, make sure all items in the bundle come from the same supplier.
If your bundle mixes products from different suppliers, even within the same order, expect that those items will ship separately.
Because of size/weight or warehouse-timing constraints, even a “same-supplier bundle” may be split into multiple packages.
Tracking & Shipping Costs
When items ship separately, each package will receive a unique tracking number. We recommend tracking each package individually to avoid confusion.
Shipping costs are calculated per product (or per package), so if two products ship in separate packages, each will incur its own shipping charge.
Setting Proper Customer Expectations
To avoid confusion and support requests:
Let customers know upfront that orders, especially larger ones or those with items from multiple suppliers, may arrive in separate shipments.
On product pages or during checkout (if possible), include a clear note: e.g., “Items may ship separately depending on supplier, size, and warehouse availability.” This transparency helps reduce delivery-related inquiries. This is a recommended best practice for e-commerce shipping policies.
Yes, Zendrop can ship bundles or multiple products together, especially when they come from the same supplier, ordered at the same time, and fit within standard packaging constraints.
However, for reasons such as supplier differences, weight/size limits, and warehouse timing, split shipments are often unavoidable. When that happens, each package gets its own tracking and shipping charge.
By being transparent and proactive (both in your storefront and in customer communication), you can set accurate expectations and reduce support requests.
