Every seller on Zendrop shops from the same catalog of over a million products. That's great for selection. The problem is that your competitors can list the exact same items you do. Private product listings fix that. Once a product is set to private, it belongs to your store. Other Zendrop sellers can't find it, access it, or sell it.
What is a private product listing?
A private product listing is a product in the Zendrop catalog that's been made exclusive to your account. It won't appear in search results for other sellers on the platform. You're the only Zendrop seller who can import it and fulfill orders through it. Think of it as protection for your product research. Your winning products, locked to your store.
How private listings differ from standard catalog products
| Standard product | Private product listing |
Visible to other Zendrop sellers | Yes | No |
Other sellers can resell it | Yes | No |
Accessible via the standard catalog | Yes | No |
Available on the Free plan | Yes | No |
Which plans include private product listings?
Private product listings are available on all Zendrop paid plans:
The Plus plan ($79/month or $549/year) includes private product listings.
The Pro plan ($49/month or $399/year) includes private product listings.
The Usage-Based Billing plan ($29 to $79/month, billed through Shopify) includes private product listings.
Note
Private product listings are not available on the Free plan.
Private listings vs. private labeling
These are two different features and it's easy to confuse them.
A private product listing is about catalog exclusivity. It means no other Zendrop seller can see the product, access it, or sell it. The product itself ships in standard packaging.
Private labeling is about branding. It means adding your logo, custom packaging, or brand name to the product. Private labeling requires the Private Agent Program, which is invite-only and designed for high-volume sellers.
Note
You can have a private listing without private labeling. If you want both catalog exclusivity and custom branding on the same product, you would need to qualify for the Private Agent Program in addition to being on a paid plan.
How to request a private product listing
Requesting a private product listing takes just a few minutes using the in-app messenger in your Zendrop dashboard. Here's how:
Open the in-app messenger by clicking the chat icon inside your Zendrop dashboard.
Tell the support team which product you want to make private. Include the Zendrop product link so the team can locate it quickly.
The team will review your request and confirm once the listing has been set to private for your account.
Frequently asked questions
Can I make any product in the catalog private?
Only products sourced through Zendrop Fulfillment can be set as private. Products from other suppliers on Zendrop are not eligible for this feature.
Will a private listing prevent competitors outside of Zendrop from selling the same product?
No. Private listings only apply within the Zendrop platform. Sellers using other suppliers or fulfillment services are not affected by your private listing status.
Is a private listing the same as a product I sourced through Zendrop?
Not automatically. A sourced product is one Zendrop tracked down for you, but it may still be visible to other sellers unless it has been set to private.
