In Zendrop’s dropshipping ecosystem, products are often subject to stock fluctuations due to on-demand manufacturing and supplier inventory changes. This guide will explain how to stay informed about restocking, typical timelines, and actions to take when a product is out of stock.
Overview of Product Stock and Restocking
Products available on Zendrop may become temporarily unavailable due to dropshipping dynamics. While some items may be restocked within about 15 days, this timeline is not guaranteed, as availability depends on the suppliers. At times, a product may not return to stock at all if suppliers are unable to restock it.
Getting Notifications for Restocked Items
You can subscribe to restock notifications for specific products directly within Zendrop. Follow these steps to stay updated:
Navigate to the product page in Zendrop.
Click the Bell icon to activate restock notifications.
Once the product is back in stock, you’ll receive an email notification, allowing you to take immediate action.
It’s important to note that if a product is removed from the catalog due to an inability to restock, you will also be informed.
Note: You'll only see the bell icon on the product listing if some versions of the product are out of stock. If there's no bell icon, it means all versions are in stock.
What If a Product Won’t Be Restocked?
In cases where a product cannot be restocked, consider the following alternatives:
Browse Similar Products: Zendrop offers a wide range of items that may align with your store's branding. Visit the catalog through your dashboard to explore these options.
Use the 'Request a Product' Feature: If you’ve found a product outside of Zendrop, submit a sourcing request through the 'Request a Product' feature. Learn more about requesting a product here.
These steps ensure you can adapt your store’s offerings even when certain items are no longer available.
You’ll automatically receive an email if a product you imported from Zendrop goes out of stock.
Although stock availability can be unpredictable, you'll be notified as soon as a product listed as out of stock becomes available again. By using subscription notifications and exploring other features, you can stay ahead of stock fluctuations and keep your store running smoothly.
