Understanding POD Fulfillment Costs: A Breakdown of Charges

Charges for fulfilling print-on-demand (POD) orders.

When ordering products from our platform, you might notice variations in pricing, additional fees, or taxes depending on your location and the specific customizations you select. This guide will help you understand the factors that affect the final price of your order, including international price corrections, digitization fees for custom designs, and applicable taxes.

Price Correction:

  • Our product prices are based on US rates. If you order from another country, the price may be slightly different because our POD facilities are located worldwide, and each one has its own pricing.

  • For example, shipping a product to Australia may cost $1.41 more than shipping it to the US. The price difference can vary—sometimes it’s more expensive, other times it’s cheaper.

Digitization Fee:

  • If you add a custom design, like embroidery (often on hats or jackets), our POD service needs to convert your design into a format that embroidery machines can read. This process is called digitization.

  • There is a one-time fee for this digitization, which is charged on the first order of any new product variant. If the order is canceled, the digitization fee is non-refundable, but it won’t be charged again for future orders of the same product.

  • The fee amount depends on the type of print and where the design is placed.

TAX/VAT:

  • This is an additional tax that applies based on the delivery location. The amount depends on the specific tax rules of the state or country where the product is being shipped.

Understanding the factors that influence pricing, such as location-based corrections, digitization fees for custom designs, and applicable taxes, will help you better anticipate the total cost of your order. By being aware of these details, you can make more informed decisions when placing orders with our service.
