HS Codes + GTIN/MPN Numbers

Explaining why we don't have GTIN/MPN numbers for our products.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

None of the products in our catalog contain MPN or GTIN numbers. There are quite a few restrictions when shipping from China to other countries, and one of those restrictions is having any kind of barcode applied to the outside of packages. Because of this, MPN/GTIN numbers are not provided, and this is completely out of our hands. However, HS codes are something that Zendrop is able to provide in most circumstances. To see if HS codes are available for your product(s), please reach out to our support team using the messenger in the Zendrop app so we can check for you!

CE Certifications

  • CE certification, which indicates compliance with European safety, health, and environmental standards, is not commonly provided for products in the Zendrop catalog. This is due to the nature of product sourcing from China, where many factories do not prioritize CE marking, especially for non-European markets.

  • Occasionally, a CE certificate may be available for a specific product. However, this depends on the factory's capabilities, and additional compliance may require verification by contacting Zendrop's team.

Detailed MPN and GTIN Explanation

  • Zendrop does not provide Manufacturer Part Numbers (MPN) or Global Trade Item Numbers (GTIN) for products. This is due to shipping restrictions from China that prohibit applying barcodes to the exterior of packages.

Enhanced HS Code Information

  • While CE, MPN, and GTIN numbers are unavailable, Zendrop can often provide Harmonized System (HS) codes for products. These codes help classify goods for international shipping or customs purposes, assisting customers in ensuring compliance with import/export requirements.

Steps to Verify Product Certifications

  1. Contact Zendrop Support: If certifications are essential for your products, begin by contacting Zendrop directly to inquire about specific compliance needs.

  2. Verify Product Information: Ask for details about the availability of CE certifications, HS codes, or other relevant documentation.

  3. Request Manufacturer Confirmation: For critical certifications, such as CE, ask Zendrop to confirm with the supplier or factory.

  4. Obtain Additional Compliance Details: For products requiring compliance with specific regulations like EU MDR, ensure that you receive proper paperwork from the factory.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please note that you can request up to 5 HS Codes for 5 different products per day. This limitation is due to the timezone difference with our factory in China and the response time required from the factories to provide the HS Codes.
