What is dropshipping?
Dropshipping is when you (the dropshipper) sell products in your online store (Shopify), but you don't need to spend a bunch of money upfront on inventory. In fact, you don't need to touch the products at all. Instead, when customers buy from your store, you order the products from Zendrop who ships them directly to your customers.
Dropshipping is a low-cost way to start an online business. You make money by marking up the product's price above what you pay Zendrop (profit margin). Remember, good customer service and smart marketing are still critical.
Here's a simplified example:
Create an online store.
Find a product for $50 in Zendrop.
Mark up product cost to $100.
Create ad for product.
Customer makes a purchase.
Fulfill order in Zendrop.
Zendrop ships product to customer.
You make $50 in profit.
