If you want to downgrade your Zendrop Usage-Based Billing subscription to the Free Plan, follow the steps below to ensure all linked products are removed from your account. By reducing the number of linked products to zero, your account will automatically revert to the Free Plan in the next billing cycle, and you won't incur any further charges.
The Free plan does not allow any products to be linked, and charges will resume if products are re-linked.
Why Can't I See the Downgrade Option?
On Zendrop’s billing page, there is no traditional "downgrade" button for users with Usage-Based Billing (UBB) Subscriptions. This is because billing for UBB subscriptions is directly tied to the number of products linked to your Shopify store via Zendrop. The subscription tiers under this plan are:
0 Linked Products: Free (no charges)
1–20 Linked Products: $29/month
21–100 Linked Products: $49/month
101+ Linked Products: $79/month (capped at this maximum charge)
If you unlink all products to bring the count to zero, your subscription will automatically reset to the Free Plan. No additional action, such as clicking a button, is necessary.
How to Unlink Products and Downgrade
Here are the step-by-step actions to unlink all products and ensure your Zendrop plan is downgraded:
Log in to your Zendrop account and open the dashboard.
Navigate to
My Productsunder theStore Listings & Sourcingmodule. Here, you will find a list of all products linked to your store.Locate a product you want to unlink. You can use the search bar or browse the list.
Click the three dots (more options) found on the right side of the product entry.
Select Unlink from the dropdown menu.
Repeat these steps for all linked products until none remain in your list.
Troubleshooting Issues with Unlinking
If you encounter issues, such as receiving an error when unlinking certain products, Zendrop support can investigate the problem. Be sure to provide a short video clip of the error so they can assist you and ensure a smooth transition to the Free Plan.
Alternatively, you can disconnect your store from Zendrop entirely, which will automatically unlink all products. This approach is particularly useful if you are managing multiple products at once or want to stop billing under the Usage-Based Billing (UBB) plan.
To uninstall the Zendrop app, log in to your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps and Sales Channels, find Zendrop – Dropshipping & POD, and click Uninstall to confirm.
Once all products are unlinked, your subscription will automatically move to the Free Plan ($0/month) at the start of the next billing cycle. No further action is needed to complete the downgrade.
Unlinking products or uninstalling the app will not affect the current billing cycle, and charges already issued for the current cycle will remain. The Free Plan will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle if no products are linked.
Special Notes for Shopify Users
If your Zendrop billing is managed through Shopify, the process remains the same. Simply unlink all products from Zendrop to ensure no linked products are listed by the end of the billing period. Your account will still downgrade to the Free Plan automatically following the standard process. If additional steps are required, such as uninstalling related apps from Shopify, you can do so via Settings > Apps and Sales Channels. Then, log back into Zendrop to reconnect your store, ensuring no products remain linked.
Key Considerations
Ensure you unlink all products before the next billing cycle starts to avoid incurring additional charges.
The downgrade will only take effect in the next billing cycle once you've confirmed your account has no linked products.
You do not need to contact Zendrop support unless you encounter errors during the unlinking process.
Billing changes may not immediately appear on your account's billing page. Allow some time for updates before reaching out to support for discrepancies.
Downgrading to the Free plan removes access to features included in paid plans.
You can request an immediate cancellation of your subscription to avoid further charges by contacting Zendrop support.
By following these instructions, you can successfully downgrade your Zendrop account to the Free Plan while avoiding unexpected billing charges.
