When you install the Zendrop app on your Shopify store, you'll be billed based on the number of products you link to Zendrop. This usage-based billing model ensures that you only pay for what you need as your business scales. The more products you link, the higher your tier, but you'll never be charged more than $79 per month.
How the Billing Process Works
Here’s a quick overview of the steps:
When you install Zendrop on Shopify, you’ll be directed to the Shopify billing page.
On the billing page, you’ll review and approve the usage-based subscription plan.
You won't have a recurring flat-rate payment. Instead, you'll be charged according to the number of products linked to Zendrop, with a cap of $79/month.
Billing Tiers for Zendrop Subscriptions
Your subscription fee is determined by how many products you link to Zendrop, and the billing dynamically adjusts based on your usage. Here's how the pricing breaks down:
No linked products: Free
1 to 20 linked products: $29 per month
21 to 100 linked products: $49 per month
101+ linked products: $79 per month (capped at this rate)
This system ensures you only pay based on your current product links, allowing flexibility as your business grows.
Note: Zendrop does not automatically unlink products when accounts or stores are inactive. You should manually unlink products to prevent unintended charges.
How Billing is Calculated
We want to make billing simple and stress-free for you! Here's how it works:
Risk-Free Trial Period
You have a 3-day risk-free trial to explore the platform and adjust your usage without worrying about immediate charges. During this time, you can:
Use the platform without any restrictions during the trial period.
Access Zendrop Academy and live coaching for a comprehensive experience.
Freely link and unlink products without incurring any charges until the trial ends.
To avoid charges, ensure that no products remain linked at the trial's conclusion, and if desired, cancel your subscription before it transitions to a paid plan.
Billing After the Trial
Once the trial ends, your tier and billing are based on your actual usage at that time.
Example:
If you linked 100 items during the trial but reduced them to 10 before the billing time, your tier and charges will reflect only the 10 items.
Stay Updated with Email Notifications
To keep you informed, you'll receive an email whenever you move between billing tiers. This ensures you're always aware of any changes to your subscription cost. International users should be aware that all charges are based in USD.
Important Note: To easily downgrade your Zendrop usage-based billing plan, just reduce the number of products linked.
How to Track Your Usage and Billing
You can easily monitor your current usage and subscription tier by visiting the Billing Page in your Zendrop account. The page will show:
The products in the current cycle (shows the maximum number of linked products).
The next billing cycle.
The current number of linked products, plus other details.
Note: Usage-based billing is available to new users who have never previously connected their Shopify store to Zendrop.
By using Zendrop's usage-based billing, you have the flexibility to grow your business at your own pace without being tied to a flat-rate subscription. Our goal is to make sure you’re only paying for what you use, and never more than $79 per month.
Understanding Dual Charges on Your Zendrop Bill
Zendrop’s unique billing structure can sometimes lead to users noticing two charges within a single month. These are not duplicates but are often associated with cycle management and delayed payments. Furthermore, differences can arise due to currency conversion variations. For example, you may find discrepancies if charged in a currency other than USD, as exchange rates fluctuate heavily.
Common Scenarios Leading to Dual Charges
Dual charges may arise when the first billing cycle includes charges for both the initial and the subsequent month.
Overlapping payments from unresolved dues can also create the appearance of dual charges in subsequent cycles.
Banks or payment providers may batch transactions, making them appear as concurrent charges. To avoid such scenarios, always monitor your billing cycles and ensure prompt payment. Contact Zendrop's support in case of doubts or discrepancies.
New invoices and billing cycles can be triggered when the Zendrop app is uninstalled and reinstalled. For instance, this could result in charges for two billing periods, especially if a higher usage tier is reached.
Moreover, charges could appear higher due to currency conversion when USD-based fees are converted into other currencies like CAD or AUD. These differences stem from fluctuating exchange rates and can result in noticeable variations in billed amounts.
If you notice unexpected charges, here are common causes and solutions:
Charges Persist Post-Cancellation: Cancellations processed through Zendrop take effect at the next billing cycle. If a charge has already been issued, it will remain active.
Billing Despite Disconnected Stores: Disconnecting a Shopify store does not automatically cancel Zendrop subscriptions. Ensure manual subscription cancellation.
Multiple Charges: Overlapping billing cycles during plan changes (e.g., downgrading and upgrading) can cause duplicate charges. For unresolved issues, Zendrop may offer promotional benefits, like free subscription months.
First Billing Cycle Includes Two Months of Charges: Zendrop’s initial bill covers fees for both the initial and subsequent month, ensuring uninterrupted service.
Payment for Overlapping Billing Cycles: Past-due balances can result in charges for multiple cycles appearing simultaneously. Settle payments promptly to avoid overlap.
Billing Periods and Timing Fluctuations: Changes in product links or adjustments within a cycle may lead to prorated payments or batched banking transactions appearing as dual charges.
Example of Charge Breakdown: If the app is reinstalled, a charge of $76.04 could include $29 for the prior cycle, $29 for the new cycle, and an additional $18.04 for prorated higher-tier usage.
Steps to Prevent Unexpected Charges
To avoid unintended charges, follow these steps:
Unlink Products: Ensure all products are unlinked from Zendrop.
Uninstall the Zendrop App:
Go to your Shopify admin dashboard.
Navigate to 'Apps' and select 'App and sales channel settings.'
Locate Zendrop and click 'Uninstall.'
Monitor Free Trials: Cancel subscriptions before the trial ends if no products have been linked. If products are linked, charges may apply.
Refund Policy and How to Request Refunds
Zendrop has a clear refund policy:
5-Day Refund Window: Refunds are available only if requested within five days of a charge.
Refund Process: Contact Zendrop support to initiate a refund request. Refunds may not be guaranteed if the five-day period has passed.
Be cautious with uninstalling or reinstalling Zendrop during the trial period, as this action may cancel your free trial and trigger an unintended billing cycle.
