Want to deactivate your Zendrop account, or need your personal data wiped? Here's how each works.
Deactivating your account
Deactivation is self-service and takes effect immediately. Go to your profile name → Account → Account actions → Deactivate.
Need your data wiped? (GDPR / CCPA)
If you're exercising a legal right to data erasure, such as under GDPR or CCPA, you need to contact Zendrop's support team. This is separate from deactivating your account and involves identity verification and written confirmation that your data has been removed.
How to submit a data deletion request
1. Contact Support
Submit your request by contacting Zendrop’s support team:
Email Zendrop directly from the email address linked to your account
Alternatively, reach out via Zendrop’s in-app messenger
2. Verify Your Identity
To help Zendrop securely process your request, include:
Your full name
Your account email address
3. Account Access During Processing
Once your request is received and verified, your account access may be suspended while deletion is being processed. You won't be able to log in or retrieve data during this period, so download any invoices or records you need before submitting your request.
4. Clearly State Your Request
Ensure your request is explicit and complete:
Request permanent deletion of your personal data and account
Specify applicable regulation, if relevant:
Under GDPR: reference Article 17 (Right to Erasure) and withdraw consent for data processing
Under CCPA: clearly state that your request falls under CCPA rights
Suggestion:
Including regulatory language can help prioritize and streamline your request.
5. What Gets Deleted
Upon successful processing, the following is permanently removed from Zendrop's systems:
Your account profile, contact details, and personal identifiers
Order history and payment records stored within Zendrop
Data shared with third-party processors (Zendrop notifies them as part of the process)
Any consent records tied to your account
6. Confirmation of Deletion
Once processing is complete, Zendrop will send a confirmation email to your registered address verifying that your data has been deleted and all relevant third-party processors have been notified.
Didn't receive a confirmation? Follow up with Zendrop support to confirm completion. Don't submit a duplicate request, your original request is logged.
Compliance & Data Handling
Zendrop adheres to both GDPR and CCPA requirements, ensuring:
Secure handling of personal data
Full deletion upon verified request
For GDPR-based requests, you may also:
Withdraw consent for data processing
Object to processing based on legitimate interest
Request restriction of data usage strictly to deletion processing
GDPR vs. CCPA — what's the difference?
Both regulations give you the right to request deletion of your personal data, but they apply to different users:
GDPR (EU/UK users) — covers residents of the European Economic Area and United Kingdom. Reference Article 17 (Right to Erasure) and, if applicable, withdraw consent under Article 7.
CCPA (California users) — covers California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act. State clearly that you are exercising your CCPA deletion rights.
Not sure which applies? Submit your request and mention your country or state the team will process it under the applicable regulation.
Submit your request with accurate info and you're all set. Zendrop handles the rest securely, completely, and in full compliance with GDPR and CCPA.
