When you publish a product from Zendrop to your store, it briefly shows a Publishing status. In most cases, this clears within two hours. If it's been longer than that, or if the product never appears in your store, one of the causes below is usually behind it.
Normal processing delay (under two hours)
Publishing isn't instant. Zendrop syncs your product to your store in the background, and during busy periods this can take up to two hours.
If your product has been in Publishing status for less than two hours, no action is needed, it's still processing. Check back after the two-hour window before troubleshooting further.
Missing required fields — TikTok Shop only
If you're publishing to TikTok Shop, a missing Category field is the most common reason a product gets permanently stuck on Publishing. TikTok Shop requires this field to be set before a product can go live, without it, the publish process can't complete.
To fix it:
Go to My Products in your Zendrop dashboard.
Find the stuck product and open its details.
Check that Category is filled in. Also confirm that images and pricing are set.
Save your changes and click Publish again.
This step applies to TikTok Shop only. Shopify and other platforms don't require a Category field in Zendrop to complete publishing.
Browser cache or cookies
A stale browser cache can cause the Publishing status to freeze on your screen even after the product has processed, or prevent the publish from completing at all.
Try these steps in order:
Clear your browser cache and cookies, then reload Zendrop.
Open Zendrop in an incognito or private browsing window.
Try a different browser entirely.
Disable any VPN or ad-blocker extensions and retry.
Shopify's 100-variant daily import limit
Shopify limits how many product variants can be imported per day. If you publish products with many variants and hit this cap, any additional products will be held in Publishing status until the next day.
To resolve it:
Wait 24 hours for Shopify's daily limit to reset.
Reduce the number of variants on your product before publishing.
Spread large product imports across multiple days.
Store connection issues
If your Shopify store connection has lapsed or the Zendrop app lost its authorization, products can get stuck mid-publish.
Fix it by disconnecting and reconnecting your store:
Go to Settings in Zendrop and find your connected store.
Disconnect the store.
Reconnect and complete the authorization flow.
Retry publishing the stuck product.
Still stuck after two hours?
If you've checked all of the above and the product is still in Publishing status after two hours, there may be a backend issue on Zendrop's end. Contact Zendrop support with a screenshot of the product status, this type of issue requires a backend fix and can't be resolved from the dashboard.
If you're on TikTok Shop, check the Category field first, it resolves most stuck publishing issues and takes under a minute to fix.
