How to Add Team Members and Share Store Access in Zendrop

Learn how to invite team members to your Zendrop store, what an Operational Manager can do, and how shared stores appear in the store switcher.

You can now invite team members to access your Zendrop store without sharing your login credentials. Once invited, they'll see your store in their own Zendrop account alongside any stores they own, clearly marked as shared. You stay in control: only you can disconnect a store.

What is an Operational Manager?

When you invite someone to your store, they join as an Operational Manager. This role gives them full access to store features, orders, inventory, products, fulfillment, and more, but keeps user management in your hands only.

Here's a breakdown of what an Operational Manager can and can't do:

How to invite a team member

  • Go to your account menu in the top right corner and select Users.

  • Click Add user in the top right.

  • Enter the team member's First name, Last name, and Email.

  • Select Operational Manager as the role. The dialog confirms: "Full access to all features, except user management."

  • Confirm the store name shown under "You are granting access to the store" is correct.

  • Click Send invite.

The invited user will receive an email with instructions to accept and access your store. If they already have a Zendrop account, the store will appear in their store switcher immediately after accepting. New users will be prompted to create an account first.

How shared stores appear in the store switcher

Once a team member accepts your invite, they'll see your store in the store switcher dropdown, the same place they switch between their own connected stores. Shared stores are clearly labeled with a Shared badge so they're always easy to tell apart from stores the team member owns.

Switching to a shared store works exactly like switching to an owned store. The team member gets full operational access based on their role, no additional setup required.

Removing a team member's access

How you remove access depends on whether the team member has already accepted their invite.

If they haven't accepted the invite yet: Find their row on the Users page and click Revoke to cancel the invitation before they've joined.

If they've already accepted and have access: Click the ⋯(three dots) next to their name and select Remove. A confirmation dialog will appear, click Remove again to confirm. They lose access immediately and the store disappears from their switcher.

Removal is immediate. As soon as you remove a team member, they lose access to the store and it disappears from their store switcher, no waiting period, no cached access.

Disconnecting a store

Only the store owner can disconnect a store from Zendrop. If you're a team member (Operational Manager), the Disconnect store option won't appear for shared stores. To disconnect a store, you'll need to ask the owner.

Frequently asked questions

Can an Operational Manager invite other team members?

No. User management, including inviting and removing team members, is restricted to the store owner. Operational Managers don't see the Users page or the Add user option.

Can a team member be added to more than one store?

Yes. A team member can be invited to multiple stores. Each shared store appears separately in their store switcher with a Shared badge.

Will the team member see the owner's payment details?

No. Sensitive account details like billing email, and payment card information, are not visible to team members. Operational Managers can pay for and fulfill orders using the owner's credit balance and payment method on file, but they can't view the underlying account details.

Is this feature available on all Zendrop plans?

Team management requires a Private Agent plan. Check your current plan in the Billing section of your account menu.

What happens to orders placed by a team member if they're removed?

Orders and products added by the team member remain in the owner's account, they aren't removed or reversed when a team member is removed. Only access to the store is revoked.

Manage your team from the Users page anytime. Add members when you need help running your store, remove them in one click when things change, your store, your rules.
