How Credits Are Earned on Zendrop

Understanding how credits are earned on Zendrop.

Zendrop credits are virtual currency you use to pay for order fulfillment. There are four ways to earn or add them. Here's exactly how each one works and what to watch for so you don't miss out.


1. Complete the onboarding checklist

New users on any paid plan can earn up to $100 in order credits by completing the Zendrop Onboarding Checklist. Credits are not issued all at once, you receive $20 per month for five consecutive months, starting after checklist completion.

The checklist has two versions depending on your plan:

  • Version 1 (Free, Pro, and UBB users): 5 steps, eligible for $100 in order credits.

  • Version 2 (Plus Plan users): 6 steps, same credit opportunity plus additional training resources.

The five steps (Version 1) are:

  1. Connect your Shopify store to Zendrop.

  2. Import your first product.

  3. Register for a live webinar.

  4. Join Zendrop Academy.

  5. Receive your $100 in order credits (distributed as $20/month for 5 months).

Important: You must be on an active paid plan to receive onboarding credits. Credits stop if you cancel your subscription before all five months are complete. Trial users won't see credits immediately, they apply once your plan payment is confirmed.


2. Upgrade to the Plus Plan

When you upgrade to the standard Plus Plan ($79/month), Zendrop automatically adds $100 in order credits to your account. This happens via the Billing page once your subscription charge is processed.

A few things to know:

  • This credit is only available if you haven't previously redeemed a promotional order credit.

  • Promotional pricing plans (e.g., the $39 first-month promotion) receive an equivalent amount in credits, $39 in this case.

  • Credits are automatically applied. You don't need to do anything beyond completing the upgrade.

Note: Promotional credits are forfeited when a subscription is refunded or canceled. They are non-refundable and carry no cash value.


3. Promotions and special offers

Zendrop periodically offers promotional credits through special campaigns, referrals, and affiliate programs. These work the same way as Plus Plan credits, they're applied to your account automatically and are subject to the same restrictions:

  • One-time use only. Stacking promos or creating multiple accounts to claim credits more than once can result in credit removal and account termination.

  • Non-refundable and non-transferable between Zendrop accounts.

  • Promo credits cover up to 10% of each order's cost, they don't cover the full order.

  • Credits expire if your subscription is canceled or downgraded to the Free plan.


4. Manual top-up

You can add credits to your account at any time by topping up manually. This is the only type of credit that can be refunded.

To top up:

  1. Click the dropdown arrow in the top right of your Zendrop account.

  2. Click Billing.

  3. Scroll to the Credit section and click Top Up.

  4. Choose your payment method (credit card or PayPal).

  • Topped-up credits can be refunded to your original payment method, as long as they haven't been used.

  • PayPal top-ups are refundable within 180 days of the original payment. After that, the credits can only be used on future orders.

  • Topped-up credits are always applied to orders first, before promotional credits.

What credits can and can't be used for

  • ✅ Fulfilling regular customer orders.

  • ❌ Sample orders, credits don't apply to test or sample purchases.

  • ❌ Subscription charges, your subscription is always billed to your card.

  • ❌ Cash withdrawal or transfer, credits have no cash value and can't be moved between accounts.


Where to view your credit balance

Your balance appears in two places:

  • Orders page: Top-right corner shows your total available credits (promo + topped-up combined).

  • Billing section: Click the dropdown arrow → Billing → scroll to the Credit section. This shows a detailed breakdown and expiration dates.

If your balance doesn't look right after completing the checklist or upgrading your plan, refresh the dashboard, balance updates can take up to 24 hours to appear.


Credits not showing up?

Run through this checklist before contacting support:

  1. Onboarding credits: Confirm all checklist steps are complete. The checklist dropdown should no longer be visible once all steps are done.

  2. Plan credits: Confirm your subscription payment was successfully charged. Credits are applied once billing is confirmed, not when you upgrade.

  3. Timing: Promotional credits are typically added within 24 hours of completing the qualifying action.

  4. Subscription status: Credits only appear on active paid plans. Downgrading to Free or canceling will remove promotional credits.

If you've checked everything and credits are still missing, contact Zendrop Support via the in-app messenger. Include the credit type, expected amount, and the date you expected them. The team typically responds within 48 hours.
