Before you add a product to your store, Zendrop gives you the details you need to decide whether it's worth selling. Most information, including pricing, shipping times, weight, dimensions, and materials, is listed directly on the product page. If something you need isn't shown, our Customer Success team can request it from the supplier on your behalf.
What's on the product listing page
Every listing brings pricing, shipping, specs, and performance data together so you can evaluate a product in one place.
Main product information
Product title: The name of the product as it appears in the catalog.
Product images: A hero image at the top left, with additional photos below it.
Product description: An overview of key features, use cases, and specifications.
Supplier name: The supplier fulfilling the product.
Pricing and cost
Product cost: The wholesale unit price you pay per item.
Shipping cost: The flat rate shipping fee applied per variant.
Suggested retail price: A reference selling price to help you calculate your margin.
Shipping and processing times
Processing time: The business days the supplier needs to prepare and dispatch the order.
Delivery time: The estimated time for the order to reach your customer after it ships.
Ships from: The country or warehouse the product ships from.
These timelines reflect standard conditions. Delays can occur during peak seasons or due to carrier disruptions.
Product variants
If a product comes in multiple options, the Variants tab shows the size and color options (each color with its own image), the SKU for each variant, the cost per variant, and the available inventory.
Performance metrics
P/C Ratio (Profit-to-Cost Ratio): Your potential profit relative to product cost. A higher ratio means more room for margin.
Growth %: How much demand has increased over a recent period.
Saturation: How widely other dropshippers already sell the product. Lower saturation means less competition.
Orders: How many times the product has been ordered through Zendrop.
Actions on the listing
Add to Import List: Imports the product into your store.
Place a Sample Order: Orders a unit for yourself to check quality before selling.
Product specifications
Most listings include standard physical specifications in the product description, such as weight and dimensions, materials, and basic functionality and usage instructions.
Weight and dimensions
Weight and dimensions help you calculate shipping costs, compare products, and plan your store logistics. Look for them in the product description.
Weight syncs automatically: Even if the weight isn't visible on the listing, Zendrop has it configured in the backend. When you import the product, the weight syncs to your store, so no manual update is needed.
Total weight only: Zendrop provides the total product weight. Weights of individual parts or components are generally unavailable due to supplier limitations.
Materials and ingredients
Material details vary widely across the catalog. Some examples of what you may find:
Toys and desk accessories: Often ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), sometimes with silicone or other plastics.
Clothing and accessories: For example, 100% polyester fiber or PU (polyurethane).
Cosmetics: May list ingredients such as Water, Niacinamide, or Hyaluronic Acid.
Ingredient details depend on how much the supplier chooses to disclose, so they may be complete or only partial. Always review ingredient lists carefully if you or your customers have allergies or specific sensitivities.
For Print-on-Demand products, you can check material composition during the design process under My Templates.
How to request missing product details
If a detail isn't on the listing, our Customer Success team can ask the supplier for it. This includes weight, dimensions, materials, ingredients, and additional images.
Before you submit a request
Your store must be connected to Zendrop.
You can ask about up to 5 products per conversation.
You can submit the next 5 products only after the first 5 have been answered.
We're happy to track down specs, materials, and images for you. CPSRs (Cosmetic Product Safety Reports), and EU Responsible Person (EU RP) details are the exception, as these fall outside what our team can request from suppliers.
Steps to request details
Open the product page: Go to My Products for items you've already added, or Find Products to browse the catalog. Click the product name to open its page.
Copy the product link: Copy the URL from your browser's address bar. It looks like
https://app.zendrop.com/product/xxxxx.Contact our team: Send the link through the in-app messenger or by email to [email protected].
Say exactly what you need: List every detail you're asking for, such as materials, weight, or packaging photos, so we can request it all at once.
You can expect an update within 24–48 hours, depending on the supplier's time zone. We'll share whatever the supplier provides, or let you know if the information isn't available.
Why some details may not be available
Our team always does its best to get the details you request, but some suppliers can't provide them. The most common reasons are:
Suppliers aren't always manufacturers: Many suppliers in our global network focus on sourcing, logistics, and fulfillment. They often have only standard specs on hand, such as dimensions, materials, functionality, and basic usage instructions.
Proprietary formulas: In categories like cosmetics, coatings, adhesives, and specialty materials, manufacturers often keep exact formulas confidential to protect their intellectual property. Suppliers may only receive a general description rather than a full ingredient or chemical breakdown.
Multi-layer supply chains: A request can pass through several partners: Merchant → Zendrop → Sourcing partner → Supplier → Manufacturer. Some manufacturers don't keep or share documentation beyond standard specifications.
If a detail you need isn't available, our team can help you explore alternative products that include it.
Verify details with a sample order
The most reliable way to confirm a product's quality, materials, and size is to see it yourself. Click Sample Order on the product listing to order a unit. A sample also lets you take your own photos for marketing. Learn more about sample orders.
Most product details are already on the listing. When they aren't, sharing the product link and exactly what you need is the fastest way to get an accurate answer.
