The right cancellation method depends on how you're billed directly through Zendrop or via Shopify. Follow the steps below to cancel cleanly, stop future charges, and handle any outstanding payments.
Start by verifying your subscription status, it determines which cancellation steps apply to you.
Verifying your Zendrop subscription status
To verify whether you have an active or inactive subscription with Zendrop, you can check directly via the following steps:
Log in to your Zendrop account.
Navigate to the Billing section, and check the "Current Plan".
Look for your current subscription details:
For subscriptions directly through Zendrop, if your account shows a “Free Plan,” it means there’s no active paid subscription. Once a subscription is canceled, all billing cycles stop, and the account automatically reverts to the free plan. Furthermore, during the deactivation process, Zendrop verifies that no active subscriptions or saved credit cards remain on file.
For Usage based billing, you'll find your current subscription tier, the number of products linked in the current cycle (shows your maximum product allowance), your next billing cycle date, and the current number of linked products and other billing details. Steps for standard cancellation via the Zendrop interface
If you subscribed directly through Zendrop, you can cancel your subscription by following these steps:
Log in to your Zendrop account.
Navigate to the user profile menu and click on Billing.
Locate your current plan and click the pencil icon (Edit) next to it.
Choose the Downgrade to Free Plan option, which will cancel your paid subscription.
NOTE: If you don’t see the pencil icon, it means you’re on the usage-based billing plan through Shopify. In this case, please refer to the alternative methods outlined below.
Cancellation via Shopify App Store
If you subscribed through Usage Based Billing in Shopify, here’s how you can cancel:
Go to your Shopify admin dashboard.
Click Settings > Apps and sales channels.
Locate the Zendrop app and choose Uninstall.
Confirm the changes to disconnect Zendrop from Shopify entirely.
This will ensure no future charges from Shopify’s billing system for Zendrop. It also automatically unlinks all your linked products. Additionally, billing during a cycle is based on the highest number of products linked, even if some products are unlinked later in the same cycle.
Option to cancel through product unlinking
If Shopify initiated a charge before you canceled or uninstalled Zendrop, you still need to pay that invoice. Once it's settled, submit a refund request within five days — approval is at Zendrop's discretion.
Usage-based billing for the Zendrop app through Shopify is based on the number of products connected to your store. To cancel the plan, simply unlink all products:
Log in to your Zendrop account.
Navigate to the "My Products" section in the Zendrop dashboard.
Hover over the linked product and click the three dots on the right.
Select "Unlink".
To unlink products listed under "Store Listings & Sourcing," follow the same process for each product.
Repeat until all products are unlinked; this will automatically downgrade your subscription to the free plan. For more details on how to unlink products, you can refer to the following link: How to Link & Unlink Products
Ensure all products are unlinked before the next billing cycle ends, as this will safeguard against potential charges during the transition period.
Post-cancellation: billing and refund information
Billing cycle charges: Unlinking products takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle. Zendrop can't cancel or void charges for the current cycle — these are based on the highest product count linked during that period.
Existing Charges on Shopify: Pending invoices through Shopify cannot be canceled and must be settled first. Once payment has been completed, you may submit a refund request within five days of the charge date. Approval is at Zendrop's discretion and is not guaranteed.
Refund Policy: Subscription refunds are not guaranteed. Zendrop may consider a refund request if it is submitted within five days of the charge and no order credits have been used, but approval is at Zendrop's discretion. Processing typically takes 5–10 business days. For full details, see our Refund, Replacement, and Return Policy.
No late refunds: Zendrop doesn't accept refund requests after the 5-day window. No exceptions.
Automatic subscription cancellation: Disconnect your Shopify store and Zendrop cancels your subscription automatically. No further billing.
Linked products: Disconnecting your store automatically unlinks all products.
Charges after deactivation: Once you've deactivated your account and removed your payment method, you shouldn't see any recurring charges. If Shopify shows a charge that Zendrop doesn't, it's likely a Shopify billing issue — check both accounts to confirm.
Pending Sourcing Requests: If you cancel a Plus subscription, any pending sourcing requests linked to your active subscription may also be canceled. Address critical sourcing needs before canceling.
Ensuring no future charges
Before you close out, run through this checklist:
Unlink and uninstall all products.
Remove any payment methods from your Zendrop account.
Confirm your Zendrop or Shopify subscription is downgraded or uninstalled.
Disconnect any remaining stores from your Zendrop account to avoid future charges.
Additional notes
You can re-subscribe or reactivate your account any time. Keep in mind: promotional order credits are removed when you cancel, and future billing stops immediately. Your Shopify store products stay visible after uninstalling Zendrop — you can still sell or manage them manually. Reconnect Zendrop later and your products relink seamlessly.
FAQs
Will my Zendrop account be deleted after uninstalling the app? No, uninstalling Zendrop only disconnects it from Shopify. You can always reinstall the app and reconnect your account later.
What happens if I uninstall Zendrop during a subscription upgrade? The products in your store remain unchanged, and your Zendrop subscription billing will adapt based on account settings at the time.
What confirmation do I receive upon Zendrop subscription cancellation? When a subscription is canceled, you can confirm the change in your account settings. Your account will switch to the free plan, which involves no charges.
Can I be charged again after uninstalling the app or deactivating my account? No, uninstalling the app ensures the subscription is canceled and no future billing occurs unless the app is reinstalled and the store reconnected.
How do I check if Zendrop billing is still active? Log in to your account and navigate to the Billing section. If you are not on a paid plan, no active billing remains.
What happens to my orders after uninstalling the Zendrop app? Orders marked as "Processing" will continue to fulfillment; however, order tracking number will no longer sync to your store.
What happens if I close my Shopify store without canceling Zendrop? Closing your Shopify store does not automatically cancel your Zendrop subscription. You must cancel Zendrop separately to avoid ongoing charges.
How do I upgrade my subscription? To upgrade to the Plus plan manually: open the profile dropdown (top-right), select Billing, find your current plan and click the pencil icon, then choose the Plus plan. Alternatively, if you’re on usage-based billing, increasing the number of linked products will automatically move you into the appropriate billing tier.
Confirm your Billing page shows the Free plan and you're done.
